’s either. It speeds up the deck, and gives some small knowledge that may be worthwhile. Jester’s Scepter is a weak counter ability (you’re too likely to get a bunch of land). Now if Dimir ever becomes a force, then maybe the Scepter will have to be reevaluated. (I’d love to see a Jester avatar in MTGO.)

How could I give this the Best card overall, and not give it best creature as well? For one reason: a set is judged by its rares. People buy packs hoping for good rares, as that is how they can get there money back. Being a common, the Wolverine is not going to do that for people. The Viper can do that. It is one of the few rares in Coldsnap that even stands a chance of being sold for over $10 here on Cardshark.

There you have it, Coldsnap at the glace. In the weeks ahead we should stay a bit chilled. Now that we have concluded, let me just vent…

ALL THAT ICE AND NOT A SINGLE PENGUIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AARGH!!!!!

Thanks, I needed that.
