Creamy M10 - Beatdown Bedford Crenshaw (7/25/2009)

Although I’m usually seen as strictly a red player, I have also played a lot of White Weenie in my Magic life. White in Magic 2010 seems to have a lot of goodies, let’s go check it out.

Ajani strikes me as the weakest of Planeswalkers, although its second ability is quite nice. Personally, I’d stick to Elspeth.

I’ve always liked this card since I first saw it at the Exodus prerelease in Walt Disney World. When there are a lot of weenie decks around, all the extra life that comes freely could make the difference in your life or death. Still, I wonder if there are no slots left in any decks for it to be used.

No frills, but I’ll take this over the new kitty recently mentioned. However, it is still competing for slots in a White Weenie deck that are already highly competitive. Flying is good, but too under-appreciated.

To review this card, I had to look at the M10 black cards it might affect, and I have to say…maybe. It may be a godsend, but it may be worthless. Right now I would wait to check out the metagame before I play it, but this card just might make it to competitive play.

However, I’m not as big on the Swordsmith as I am the Armorsmith. The Armorsmith, even without other Soldiers, is still a solid creature, but the Swordsmith isn’t.

Mister dependable of old White Weenie decks is back. Except for the fact it isn’t a Soldier, there is nothing at all wrong with this critter and should make almost every White Weenie deck.
