7. Cavern Entrance (I don’t really use skirmish events – so this might shut down my opponent)
8. Wizards Vale (good against choke)

Going first or second doesn’t phase this deck, although you can gain Aragorn if you go first (although the Riddermark is one of the most popular site 1’s so you’re bound to come up against someone that uses it anyway)
I usually only bid 1 or 2, cause like I said it doesn’t really matter if you go first or second.
The whole Free Peoples side of the deck is based around using maneuver events (such as Baruk Khazad, Quick as May be + Defend and Hope) to wound minions before the skirmish – there’s also a decent amount of archery to finish them off (Legolas GL, Aragorn and Faramir’s bow’s + Gondor Bowmen).
Should their minions evade all of the wounds and make it to the skirmish phase then the boyz should be equipped well enough to handle it. Gimli is the main Melee fighter, with his Axe + a Kazud Ai-Menu or 2 he’ll knock of a decent sized minion, not to mention his game text can probably look after another one when he’s done ;-)
Aragorn with a ranger’s sword is Strength 10 (and damage +1 vs men or roaming minions).
A lot of healing can be needed with the use of direct archery and exert to use maneuver events, so there’s a couple of Athelas’ in there + Elrond HtGG + citadel of minus tirith for the gondor boys.
The Shadow side is an Easterling Burden Style deck with a twist. The twist is in the use of a single Gollum Stinker.
I choose to use only 1x Gollum, but use 4x We Must Have It – to retrieve him over and again, this saves against hand clog, nothing worse than having more than 1 Gollum in your hand when their a unique minion (there’s enough in this deck already with Easterling Captain).
There’s also 2x Evil Smelling Fens to use with getting your Easterling’s back, and then there’s the fact that Gollum gets stronger with all the burden’s your adding with the Easterling’s – not bad eh?
I Chose that Gimli, cause of his skirmish ability – in most cases there shouldn’t be much left happening in the skirmish phase, so Gimli helps to deal with whatever’s there.
Orc Bane is purely in there, on the off chance that Sting’s already on Frodo – if you draw it with no sting in play, I’d recommend discarding it, so as not to clog your hand.
Endurance of dwarves is in there for the exertions from Baruk Khazad.
Tale of Gil-Galad is for more direct archery from Legolas.
I Chose Sword of Gondor cause it’s a generic Gondor weapon so if you pull Faramir before Aragorn you can still play it.
I hope you have fun with this deck.
Its made to win with the FP side, as the SH side isn’t extremely strong – its just there to slow your opponent down + its cool to have a dual culture SH side that works really well.
