Hello all! Are you new to MTGO? Well whether or not you are here are some tips for drafting for free successfully.

- If you get kicked off during the draft, the system automatically makes picks for you resulting in some supremely bad picks. Close all of your programs before beginning a draft to give yourself better chances of staying on.

- At the beginning, try to make it so that you aren’t matched up with the best of the best…namely all pros. You can check the players ratings while you are waiting, and if the players ratings are all above 1700, you might consider waiting for the next queue.

- If possible try to sign up directly after, and sit next to the players with the lowest ratings.

- Always look at your picks rather than the players.

- In the picks window use filters such as converted mana cost and color to see where your deck is weak and possibly draft a little more into one color, or stop drafting 5 drops and go for something a little faster.

- Try to draft as many playable cards in your color as possible…try for over 25 of these.

- Draft for your deck. Think about each pick and how it will work with the rest of your deck.

- If you’re trying to compete in as many drafts as possible, consider picking that out of color Eternal Dragon

that would fit perfectly into your deck. It’ll buy you another draft. It might not be the same as winning the booster draft, but the results are the same, and there's a higher guarantee that you'll be drafting again.

- Build your deck…make your own personal choices on this one. Try to have a consistent mana base.

- Saving your deck helps a lot so that in a match you can always look through your decklist.

- Sell your winnings and constructed playable cards…draft again.
