CardShark Content - JP (4/15/2004)

Green never gets a lot of love from professional players, but when it comes down to it, there isn’t a lot that green cards can't do. The combos are limitless. Mana, Life, Big Fatty Creatures, anything you want can be done with the right green cards. (Like get into the country, but that’s not the green card I’m talking about) Lets be honest, when you were a noob you used Green didn’t you? Yea you did don't lie. You were attracted to the Timmy cards when you were to naïve to understand that speed kills.

Well in this deck, big giant creatures and massive amounts of life kill. Using the Ageless entity and Nourish

I love Silvos. He’s an 8/5 with trample for six mana, but that’s not the best part, he regenerates for {G}! He is a Legend, so that’s why there is only two in the deck. I wrestled with the idea of swapping the two Silvos’ for two Krosan Cloudscraper

s, but in the end I think the regeneration and trample won. But you may want to use the 13/13 Cloudscrapers (which aren’t legends). It is a good idea, however, to go into battle with at least one forest untapped when using Silvos, that way you can always be safe.

This 3/6 is your little anti-aircraft gun. He can block as though he had flying. You may find that this deck is not fast enough, or that you are getting overrun with flyers, in this case, I recommend using Giant Spider

I think this is one of the best Elves in the game. It’s a 1/1 for 1 chump blocker/first turn drop right? Well on top of that, when it comes into play you may put a basic land card from your hand into play tapped. With the right opening hand and draws, you could have eight mana on your 4th turn! These guys are often overlooked, but belong in any green deck. Play these guys often and in a hurry, but remember, you will need to learn when to wait for that extra land card and when to play it anyway for a chump blocker. But a good thing to remember is mana doesn’t do you any good if the game is over.

I’m not sure why these babies aren’t in every green deck in the planet. It’s a 5/4 with trample and affinity for forests. This is the first halfway combo you may come across. The Pioneer speeds this up to a third turn drop, but (and I don’t recommend this) I love it when I’m in control of a game to save these until I have all four of them and see the look on my opponents face when I put all of them out for free! Once again, no real strategy except to get them out fast and blow apart your opponent.

is a 3/2 for three mana that regenerates for {1}{G}, but the best part is that is cant be target of your OPPONENTS spells or abilities, which means you can still beef it up, but your opponent can’t burn it away. Great stuff, and a second turn drop with a first turn Elvish Pioneer
