CardShark Content - MJ Johnson (12/19/2002)

My favorite type of play has always been green-red beatdown, but this is just insane. I came up with this one and the results have been amazing. Its main deal is flashback. Below I’ll show you my old green-red beatdown deck and how this one differs entirely from it but is ten times more effective. This deck has won my local tournament twice and I’m ready to take it up to a higher level soon.

Part 1:
The deck I’d been using before this one.

This deck actually did pretty good, but it had one problem- lack of cards. Since everything was so cheap I got rid of everything really fast and it resulted in going by top decks. This, unfortunately, wasn’t a good plan because he’d be kicking my butt and I would draw a land, or a bird, or and elf, or something even more useless. Fortunately I caught on to it’s problem and thought about green or red cards for card advantage. Sadly, there isn’t many, so the only thing I could think of would be Browbeat

it and… let’s not get into that just yet. This deck would make for some nice beatdown, but it would occur late (and I do mean LATE) game, and often times this would result in my defeat early. So what did I do to change this? I added some defense to the mix, using Phantom Centaur
