CardShark Content - Matthew Sablan (6/20/2004)

Here's an interesting conundrum I was given. Is there a way to play Mono-Green? I think yes, without a doubt. But the problem with having mono-green is that your creatures are your main source of threat. No one likes being totally reliant on creatures. Especially as they can be wiped out by nasty effects, such as Wrath of God

So, how can we make a decent Mono-Green deck? The first answer is acceleration. Green has to go quick, very quick. But, the problem then comes with your opponents getting in front of your creatures. Sure, you have trample, Rhox

gives artifact land walk to all of your creatures. But, what if you're not playing against Affinity? What if your opponent doesn't decide to run one of the artifact lands (for whatever reason?) Then you've just wasted a spot in your deck with a 2/2 who really doesn't do anything for you.

Unless, you could somehow give your opponent an artifact land. There's always the slightly more crazy ways, such as with Confusion in the Ranks
