Enchanted Angels - Michael Macfarlane (1/11/2010)

First off, I'm no M10 rules-lover, and I've actually made a few of my friends say “battlefield” like they were pro wrestlers trying to pop forehead blood vessels. But here's the skinny- there are a few amazing cards in both M10 and Zendikar. The card I'm most impressed with fit perfectly into my pre-M10 angel generator which used only Sigil of the Empty Throne

.

With the term “patience deck” in mind, this is another deck which employs stall tactics, until the big combo is achieved. The funny thing is, when I play this deck in a free for all, the situation becomes everyone vs. me. The funnier thing is, this deck has no creature cards at all. If you find yourself in this situation, being a cocky jerk usually gets you killed. Diplomacy is a necessity. Pleading is optional. I usually stick to the sad puppy dog eyes while I say, “Come on, I've only stopped your last three attempts at hitting me, can't you give a guy a break?”

No deck is perfect, and you can be creative to find less expensive cards to fill the spots, but here it is:

On to the meat: why will your opponents hate this deck so much? Because of four red cards- the only red splashed in here. Obviously you're avoiding loss of life so the Ascension can go off, but mostly so you can hit 5 mana- the magic number in this deck. Five will give you the Sigil of the Empty Throne
