CardShark Content - Mike Lanigan (3/11/2004)

As I was looking through one of my friends card the other day, I found a card that I had not seen in a long time. The card sparked an interest in me right away. Through this card I saw great potential. The card I am referring to is the Lavaborn Muse

cards in hand, Lavaborn Muse deals 3 damage to him or her.
. While there was never really a great hype about the muse cards, all of them have great potential. Well then what is the reason that they do not really get attention and no one considers them for serious type 2 play? The reason is there cost. They are somewhat expensive and slow to be effective for tourney play right? Wrong, you just need to adjust your perspective. You don't want to be able to play the muse early because that won't utilize her ability therefore making her usless.

But if you were to say play a blackmail turn one, a wrench mind turn two, a chittering rats turn three and then play the muse turn four. Well that is pretty hardcore if you ask me. Most type 2 decks need those cards in hand.
Especially with control running rampant these days, whether in the form of U/W or mono white, they really dominate the format. So without further delay. I present.....

B/r hand destruction

before you start saying bad things and leave the article just suffer a little bit more and read the card by card. I can't promise that it will change you mind but it might.

I hope that this article has inspired some of you to go rogue and not follow the croud. Or alteast sparked another deck idea.

Use this knowledge well as it is very powerful.
