Finally I am done moving and able to get back to writing about and testing new Magic decks. It's Kamigawa Block Season now, so I thought I would write about one of my current favorite KBC decks in this article. As I am sure you know by now I love fast aggro decks as well as playing anything that involves tapping a swamp. So this article is about my build of suicide black for the upcoming PTQ season. The deck is as follows :

3: Hero’s Demise

This is a fairly simple deck to play, yet a very aggressive and consistent deck. I’ll try to go over the card choice and play a little for you to help you along in your testing.

4: Raving-Oni Slave
A very solid creature despite its obvious setbacks. But still a turn 2 3/3 can lead to early beat down and pave the way to victory.

When I first saw this guy I was very impressed with him, just hadn’t found a use for him until now. This can make quick work of your opponents life total or forcing them to get rid of vital creatures.

Another setback creature, but still a 3/3 even at 2B is fast and worth the 1 damage you may have to take to deal 3 to your opponent.

decks he is just brutal. Removing those crucial creatures and eventually you will be able to steal others. Just have to test this one out to see what the meta game will hold.

A 4/5 for 3B is just great. His setback shouldn’t affect you at all once you get him out. Even if it would, you can also pitch it to that much needed Sicken

2: Yukora the Prisoner
They don’t call this deck Suicide for nothing. Just try to play Yukora when you can get an advantage and you won’t have to worry about losing your army. And another 5/5 for 2BB just fits this deck perfect.

aW5nIFNob2Fs is just an amazing card on its own anyhow.

4: Umezawa’s Jitte
Like you aren’t gonna see 4 of these in almost every block deck all season long. Not to mention how amazing it is.

4: O-Naginata
An aggro decks best friend. While almost all of your creatures have a power of 3, you slap this on and get +3+0 and trample. Another amazing equipment card that just fits great.

. But, after testing in this deck, I have a new found respect for this card. Against other KBC aggro decks the Tomb itself can win you many games.

Sideboard
This is still way up in the air since the entire meta game has yet to come together. But it looks like most decks will have a lot of Legendary Creatures in them, so Hero’s Demise seems great. Also, Kiku’s Shadow is an amazing removal card in general, and especially in the mirror match. Mark of the Oni

is another overlooked card that can seal the deal in this deck, allowing you to be able to take a creature quickly to force lethal damage through for the win. Ink-Eyes seems like a good choice if the big creature filled Gifts Ungiven

decks stay around, which I’m sure they will. And Kagemaro comes in handy greatly against another popular KBC deck, White Weenie. Like I said though, the sideboard is not solid yet at all. Just have to mill around your tournaments and try to establish the meta game in your area and fine tune it to your specific needs.

I have been testing this deck for a couple weeks now, and although I am partial to anything with swamps in it , this deck seems like a pretty consistent and fun deck to play.

Thanks again for reading another of my articles. As usual, I welcome you to email me or comment on this article.
