You may find that this deck won’t fare as well in the new Standard format. Hope it makes you smile...

Frodo, Reluctant Adventurer (choke)
The One Ring, Isildur’s Bane (foil, cough...cough...)

Site Path
Riddermark (go get the man)
Barrow of Edoras (set up that hand)
White Rocks (makes those horseys pay)
Deep of Helm (you should try to win here)
Caves of something (bye, bye Bill)
Hornburg Wall (this is a toughie, but I LOVE playing just Saruman and making them move again)
Wizard’s Vale (you better not get choked at this point)
Site nine is the one that fetches Saruman so you can discard the mulitples early on

Starting Companions:
Boromir, Defender of Minas Tirith (Horn it up, yo)
Merry, Friend to Sam

Freeps (30 cards, 28 plus 2 starting)
4 x Elrond, Lord of Rivendell (set up that shadow hand)
4 x Galadriel, Lady of Light (Elrond is expensive, guy)
2 x No Stranger to the Shadows (choke da choke)
2 x Sting (take a peek for gauging double moves and for choking)
4 x Flaming Brand (choke and anti-Naz)
3 x Filibert Bolger (I’m going to miss that boozer)
2 x O! Elbereth! Gilthoniel! (combined with that little Hobbit ally, you have a site 8 win)
4 x Aragorn, Heir to the White City (best of all time, I’ll miss him too)
3 x Horn of Boromir (bring Elrond and perhaps Galadriel into the action)

Shadow (30 cards)
4 x Savagery to Match their Numbers
4 x Ulaire Nertea (man, this was the second best minion ever)
4 x Saruman, Keeper of Isengard
4 x Uruk Regular (stack for site 5)
4 x Uruk Ravager
4 x Troop of Uruk Hai (I’ve always said this is the best minion in the game)
4 x Uruk Lieutenants
2 x Saruman’s Power (so much fun)

Well you are clearly going for the site 5 win. And if you don’t pull that off, you should be doing enough damage to their fellowship that you can win at site 6 or 8. Playing Saruman alone at site 7 and making them double move is so much fun.
You’ll be bidding one I suppose and making them go first if possible. If not, single move the whole way. Your fellowship can’t survive very much and is meant to choke a bit and basically cycle cards like mad in order to set up your shadow hand. Make sure you stack the essential minions for your site 5 bomb.

There’s really not too much strategy involved. Try it out because I have a feeling that this deck will not fare too well in the Standard Format. Feel free to count how many cards would need to be replaced.

Good luck! And please let me know if this deck ever wins you a big tournament or something because I’m not so sure it can.
