New Site Launch - June 6th, 2010

Important Notices:

• The DNS for www.cardshark.com may take a day to propogate. Do not be alarmed if you are redirected to beta.cardshark.com in the meantime.
  
  
• All user accounts are assigned new random passwords, simply click Forgot Password from the Login screen to get your new password emailed to you. You must do this first before accessing the site. You may change your password to whatever afterwards, but we have stronger policies now that require 6 character minimum and at least 1 symbol (non letter/number character).
  
  
• All promotional notes left in the notes field will be removed by 10 June. Only notes that are related to the condition or features of a card will be allowed in the future.
  

New Features:

• Buyers, you can now search by seller using many criteria including PRICE. To try out this feature, find a card you are intersted in from a particular seller. Click on the seller's username in the listing to view all the cards they are selling. Note the new search option for price. Combined with the ability to search by card set, rarity, foil, etc., this option will help you easily locate great deals!
  
  
• Card listings are now rolled up on all card listing pages. This will make it much easier to browse and purchase cards where previously you had to scroll through hundreds (or thousands!) of listings.
  
  
• MTGO sellers, you can now append pricing right into your csv file. This feature allows you to skip the intermediary step where you used to fiddle with card prices on one long, long screen. To view this feature, go to My Account > Import MTGO CSV. Under "Recommended Price" click the info button for details on how to use this powerful new feature.
  
  
• Card sellers, are you looking to delete cards? We have separated the "Manage Prices" from "Manage Inventory". Price management is now done by a slick and focused program (with a minimum of distractions). Deleting cards, modifying comments or condition, and other focused tasks and relegated to "Manage Inventory". Click here to delete cards.
  

A personal note from the staff:
Well it's been almost 10 years since the original launch of CardShark! What a great experience it's been for us and hopefully all of you. Sadly, with age the current site was showing its age and internet security sure has changed over the years. That said, we annouced a major overhaul of CardShark.com on 6 June 2010. We have introduced several new features, and you will see some speed improvements and major new functionality in 2010.

We are excited to provide some new services and do policy over hauls in the new decade, to better support buyers and sellers. One big one is that we are going to start aging inventories and automatically vacationing old sellers that haven't logged in for a long time. This will help to keep the inventory you do see fresh and available.

If you are dearly missing a feature or really have a good idea for changes to a given feature of the site, or even if you have some new ideas that we never got around to, now is the time to bring them up again.
