Please read the following guidelines and understand them before submitting your article / deck list to CardShark:

• All submissions should be submitted in a plain text file or Word document sent as an attachment. Send files to submissions@cardshark.com. Please do not include any special formatting (indentation, boldface, italics, etc...), as it will not be shown on the article page.
  
  
• Always submit your real name, email address, CardShark username (for SharkShares*), and a title that you want for your article. Please make sure that all titles are short enough to get the idea across and still fit on the article page.  A slightly longer abstract or descriptive blurb about the article. An example:

Real Name, Jr.

Username: username

Title: Monkeys Gone Wild! – Using apes and only apes to destroy your opponent with simian style

• All articles become the intellectual property of CardShark.
  
  
• Articles may be edited to improve clarity or correct grammar errors.  Articles with large amounts of clarity or grammar issues may be returned to author for a rewrite or rejected outright, so please proofread before submitting.
  
  
• CardShark has the right to print or reject any article. Articles that use inflammatory remarks or profanity may be edited/rejected.
  
  
• There is no minimum article length. However, to improve your chances of getting your article approved, we suggest that all deck lists explain the thoughts behind each card and a bit of personal experience into how the deck operates.  For tournament decks, discuss matchups when possible or appropriate if you can.
  
  
• Articles are chosen as Featured or Casual based on relevance of content and quality/amount of information contained.  Well-written articles about casual Magic will sometimes make it to the Featured section, and articles about tournaments or tournament-worthy decks will sometimes be posted in the Casual Magic section at the editor’s discretion.
  
  
• For formatting reasons, please list cards in a deck list like this:
  
  Red (9)
  4: Flametongue Kavu
  4: Lightning Bolt
  1: Shivan Dragon
  
  Green (8)
  4: Birds of Paradise
  4: Llanowar Elves
  
  And so on - be sure to include the land totals (and sideboard if possible)

Please remember that the editor/staff generally limits quantity to one article per person, per week. Special exceptions will be made if they have relevance to a timely matter (upcoming PTQ tech, tournament information, or a featured writer special).

*All published article writers will receive SharkShares if they include their username with the submission. Articles that are Featured will receive 500 Sharkshares, while articles that go into the Casual Magic section will receive 200.  They will also receive 1 SharkShare per article read and an additional SharkShare every time they get a rating of a 5 on their article. We reserve the right to modify this policy at anytime and without notice.
