A Jerry Beans Man Deck? by David Dobson, Jr. (5/13/2008)

For those of you that don't know, Jerry Beans Man is a weak monster (3 stars, plant, 1750 ATK, 0 DEF, earth attribute, normal monster). So why would you want to have a deck based on this card? Jerry Beans Man is not actually the card this deck is based on, it is only the least commonly used card in many decks used to identify my specific deck. This deck is actually packed full of high attack, low tribute monsters, great spells, and useful traps. This isn't a deck list.

Monsters that would help a deck like this would include Summoned Skull, Cybertech Alligator, and Jinzo. Any monster with high attack and 5 or 6 stars would fit in this deck perfectly, Although they usually only have 2400 ATK. I also like to add strong level 4 monsters like Gemini Elves, Sabersaurus, Luster Dragon, Archfiend Soldier, or any monster with 1900 ATK and no bad effects (like Granadora). Monsters with 1800 ATK are good additions as well. Don't forget about level 4 monster with more than 2000 ATK, like Goblin Attack Force and Chainsaw Insect. Other level 3 monsters with terrific effects like Raging Flame Sprite, Gilasaurus, and Magical Reflect Slime. Gemini monsters are a very useful commodity for a deck like this. The are easy to summon and have great effects. I encourage as many of them as possible. Level 4 monsters that have 2000 or more DEF are good for this kind of deck also.

Spell cards are necessary for any deck, but most of all this for deck. Equip cards are important in this deck to power up your already powerful monsters. 2400 is a lot, but often not enough. The equip Axe Of Despair, Horn of the Unicorn, and Mage Power are my personal favorites. Any that power up monsters are useful. Try not to include too many cards that can only have specific targets, like Legendary Ebon Steed. Basic spell cards like Mystical Space Typhoon and Heavy Storm improve the deck. Lightning Vortex and Back to Square One can clear your opponent's field for you to do damage with one of your level 4 1900 ATK monsters.

Traps cards that are good in this deck include Rising Energy, Blast With Chain, and Magic Cylinder. Traps to destroy opponents monsters like Trap Hole and Torrential Tribute can open them up for a large attack. Negate traps are the most important. Magic Jammer and Trap Jammer are limited 3 as are 7 Tools of the Bandit, and Forced back. Compulsory Evacuation Device and Negate Attack can save your butt for the turn, like I have experienced many times.

There really is no theme to this deck, except high power monsters, equip cards, and awesome traps. Remember, the more variation, the better, so change the deck to suit your style. If you are just starting out, this is a good idea for you to try out and find a style of dueling. Normally I would have asked for any improvements to this idea, but this deck is so flexible that any card can be useful in it, so try it all.
